Classic car insurance specialists since 1965
In the 1960s, Chris Wilkinson was a door-to-door insurance salesman who found his customers had a recurring problem – they were unhappy with the options available for car insurance. There was no policy especially for classic cars, meaning owners were paying the same kind of rates for the cars they cherished and rarely drove, as for their family run-around. They also weren’t getting any protection or recognition for how their classics were cared for, or their true value as collectible cars.
From his home in Kings Norton, Birmingham, Chris created a business to cater to classic car owners with a unique and new product – a car insurance policy designed especially for classics.
Chris decided to focus on the needs of classic car owners like himself, and the Heritage brand was born.
55 years later, we’re trusted by thousands of customers every year to provide the specialist cover they need for their cherished cars. 9 out of 10 customer choose to renew with us each year, and we’re delighted to have been supporting many of them for well over a decade.
WHAT DO HERITAGE INSURANCE BROKERS DO?
As a UK classic car insurance broker, we arrange insurance on behalf of our customers, with a range of insurers who specialise in the kind of insurance that classic cars need. We include agreed value for free, to help you protect the value of your classic, and we also offer salvage retention as standard.
Along with competitive rates and car club member discounts, we offer our customers the extra protection they need, be it breakdown cover, personal accident insurance, or simply cover in case of lost keys.
Our wider business, Norton Insurance Brokers, looks after customers who would like more of their insurance needs met in one place, with a personal client manager service. And, we also have our Tradesure commercial branch for motor traders.
